hand-painted ceramic art
Ceramics combine the singularity of a handmade piece with the unique imprint of the contemporary Ukrainian artist, who spent a fraction of her life one-on-one with the piece. Eventually an object that has gone through fire and transformed from flexible to hard, becomes a multi-surface canvas.
The pieces are created in the artsy yard of Yuriy Karpenko, a Jiu Jitsu master, who turned to pottery after his sports career. Located in the Babintsi village not far from Anna’s home, his studio is an escape into the meditative therapeutical world of clay, colours and Japanese culture.

Japanese pottery noh masks
These hand-made and hand-painted Japanese Noh masks are the one-of-a-kind wall art to decorate a home of a person passionate about the Japanese theatre tradition that goes back to the 14th century.
The original masks are usually carved from wood, while these pieces are created to adorn your habitat and primarily used for interior decor. They carry so much of the cultural heritage, that official Vatican site carries some of the Noh masks.
Anna Didenko personally painted each of these pieces in the studio of her friend, Yuriy Karpenko, who is a JiuJitsu master turned into a talented ceramist.
